First Anniversary!!!

For our first anniversary Nick surprised me with a get away in state stay! So we stayed in Vegas and stayed at the Luxor hotel, so the pyramid for those who don't know what hotel that is. We went to a late lunch at the Blue Fin, a sushi place that my friend Jessica introduced to me to and it is so yummy and doesn't cost an arm and a leg either!
We went and checked into our hotel and went swimming and just layed out at the pool. Vegas people watching is the best! There are so many foreigners that come to Vegas.. And you can always till who they are because of the swim suits! The women who are barley covered with their rear ends hanging out and the men with the speedos! I really wish that I took a picture of this one guy that was wearing a WHITE SPEEDO and he was very in shape and he knew it! So he was struttin his stuff like no Buddy's business! It was funny to watch peoples reactions when he walked by! I really shouldn't make fun or people watch... but sometimes its just really hard not to!
After swimming we went and got ready then went to dinner at clam jumper. Such a yummy food place, when your in Vegas that is a must. At dinner it was fun to talk about our favorite moments of our first year and not so great moments. It made us really think about how much we really have grown in just one year and all the things we have done! We got our own place, got our own stuff to put in our first place together! Nick becoming president in his class, he finished up his 2nd year of dental school,  And passed boards. Me getting my first coaching job, getting a substitute teaching job which I never thought I could do because of my anxiety of being in front of a lot of people, Being on our own, having to meet new people, getting a calling in church, MAKING DINNER WAS A HUGE ONE!!! If you know me I never cooked a think in high school.. College ate mac and cheese, top Romain, burritos, taco bell, Noodle and company, Cafe Rio, Costa Vida, and Chile's! So you can see I made crap or went out to eat everyday in college!!! So making dinner was completely new to me! Thank goodness for my sisters food blog or me and Nick might have died! There's a lot of other new stuff that happened in a year but it could take a while so I'll stop there.
That night we were thinking about seeing a show, but because it was Saturday the shows were a little to far out of our price range so we went and saw "Crazy, Stupid, Love" I loved that movie! Me and Nick couldn't stop laughing! Its a fur sure got to get movie for when it comes out! I know what your thinking.... Its your anniversary and you go see a movie!!! But we live in Vegas and yes I love shopping at the great shopping malls here but down is nasty besides the malls! I always feel like my pores are getting clogged up when I'm down there and everyone blowing smoke in your face. And it was so worth it to see that movie! If you haven't seen it yet you have to!
