4th of July weekend

So this past weekend me and Nick drove to Utah to spend time

with family. When August starts I won't be able to go home tell Christmas

because of volleyball and teaching and Nick has school!

The 3 days in Utah was so much fun!

We arrived in Utah on Friday at my parents and we surprised them

with some photo albums I have been working on for

a couple of months. When I was in Utah in December I noticed

 that my mom had a bunch of photos and old photo albums in

a couple of bins, in dresser drawers, and in closets. So I

tore her house apart! Well not really because she

didn't even notice that I took all of her photos back to Vegas with me.

I took all of the pictures out of the bins and organized them. So I had one

album of Lindsay growing up as a child, Mike, Garrett, and myself. Then I had

photo albums marked as Lindsays family, so it was pictures of

just my sisters family, and mikes, and so on and so on.

And then the pictures of all of us together it was the Sandberg family photo album.

So as you can see this could take a very long time! It took me about 2 months

to organize everything. Nick would come home with a pictures all over

our front room. He would step on them I would say.. Watch where your going!

and he would say... well babe I can't float so I have to step somewhere! haha

So the last time I went home I think was at the beginning of June for my

friends wedding and I saw some new pictures laying around so I took those too,

I went to walmart with my parents camera and my camera and

developed all the pictures that need to be developed

that I knew weren't in the albums yet.

And can I say my parents never develop their pictures

 so dang, there were a lot of pictures to develop.

Once I took all of them home and put them in the correct albums I was so

excited to be able to take them to my parents and show them their new

and organized picture albums. (I really wish I took pictures of the albums)

When we got to Utah on Friday me and Nick brought the picture albums in and

told my parents that we had a surprise for them, and when we all sat out side and looked

at them I loved hearing my parents say do you remember this picture,

do you remember that picture...! I was so happy they liked them!

Then my brother Garrett and his cute wife Courtney came over

and started looking at them too.

People that know me know that I love pictures and being organized..

Well somewhat organized anyways.

After looking at all the great memory's

We went inside and played

I love this game! Its not like Monopoly really so it doesn't take two weeks to play.

On Saturday we woke up had breakfast with my parents then were planning

on going on a hike. But once we started driving up the mountain

we couldn't choose what hiking route we wanted to do so we kept

driving up the mountain. Well the mountain came to an end and

we never picked a hiking spot so we just got out of the car on top of the

mountain and it was gorgeous! We could see kennecott, beautiful green

and white snow.

 After our wonderful drive we went

back to the house and helped get ready for the BBQ at my

parents house with my whole family! Which we all haven't been

together since last August for mine and Nicks wedding. And

Nicks side of the family came over too. It was so much fun to just eat and

hang out with everyone all night!

We went and saw some fireworks at Riverton Park

Woke up early on Sunday morning to go and listen to the spoken word

They are so talented! I loved listening to them sing!

It really made me think about how lucky we are to live in a free country

Monday morning we had a very yummy breakfast

Then played monopoly deal again!

We were going to go swimming but the weather didn't look very good.

But come to find out after I called my sister to tell her we weren't going

swimming anymore my cute little nephew got so sad that we weren't coming

He wouldn't go swimming anymore and started crying, I felt like a very mean Aunt!

But I promised them before we head home I would stop by their place and see them

The Drive home was kinda cool because we saw so many fireworks since Utah can buy

the ones you shoot up in the air now, so they were going off everywhere.

Driving into Vegas was really cool too seeing the light down town and

the sky lighting up!

Can't wait to go home again in two weeks, I love seeing my family

and I swear the kids grown an inch every time we see them!
