Easter

A couple of weeks ago me and Nick were asked to speak on Easter Sunday on the Atonement. I was so nervous because the Atonement is such a broad topic! I spoke on "The Atonement and the value of one soul" by Elder M. Russell Ballard... It was such a wonderful talk, It talked about how Jesus gave up his life for all of us so we can return back to our Heavenly Father. At first I was mad about having to speak on Easter Sunday, but I know that it was a great experience for me and Nick and a great reminder of what the real reason of Easter is. Remembering the sacrifice our our Heavenly Father had by sending his son down to earth to take upon himself all of our sins. And not interfering when he saw how much pain Jesus was in. And our Savior Jesus Christ taking upon all of our sins so we can be forgiven if we just repent and to try to become perfect as he is! I am so grateful for such wonderful parents for being such a great example to me and for being such strong people in the church and raising us 4 children and for putting up with our mistakes and excepting us for who we are. I am also so grateful that Nick was baptized and for being such a strong person in the church and for going to church every week. For being such a great example to me and for teaching our Sunday school class when I am gone every other weekend for volleyball. I love our church so much and I know it is the true church and that someday if we all try hard to be more like Jesus we can return to live with him again!
