Every Christmas Eve we do a progressive dinner with my Jensen side of the family. We go to my cousins house for appetizers, my moms for dinner, and to my aunt and uncles house for dessert. We also started a new tradition of course.... another white elephant game! It was so much fun to see the family and catch up and hear about how everyone is doing! I didn't take any pictures because I forgot my camera, but my sister did bring hers and got the picture I wanted most from the night.
So in October while sitting in Stake conference one of the speakers was talking about how important family is. Well my family is HUGE!!! This is how big my family really is... My mom has five brothers and one sister so my grandparents had seven kids. My uncle Ronny has six kids and 13 grand kids plus 2 on the way. Danny has four kids and 4 grand kids with 1 on the way. Kenny has 3 kids with 2 grand kids and 1 on the way. Lynn has 7 kids with 2 grand kids. My mom has 4 kids and has 4 grand kids with 1 on the way. Shauna has 6 kids. and Steven has 3. So you can see our family is huge so it is hard for us all to get together.
So after Stake Conference I sent out an email to my whole family and said that we should do a Christmas gift for our Grandma and Grandpa. The gift would be a scrapbook! Each of us would do a page. So for example my family has four right.. So we took a picture of all of us together my parents and all my siblings. That would be our front page of our family scrapbook. Then Lindsay would have her own page of just her family, mike of his, Garrett of his, and me with mine. So we would have 5 pages total.
So my whole family did it! And we as you read before.. my family is huge so we had a ton of fun and wonderful pictures in the scrapbook.
On Christmas Eve when we gave it to my grandma and grandpa they started to cry! By them crying I started to cry! They loved the book and it was nice for all of us too to see how big and wonderful our family really is and how fast we are all growing up!
