My Aunt Shauna set the whole thing up, but couldn't do it anymore because her son, my cousin Brady had a school race that day at BYU, Which He took first! Great job Brady! Thanks Aunt Shauna for setting it all up! It was so much fun! I know what your all thinking.. running fun? Not going to lie the training for it isn't very fun, but the day of the race getting all nervous and wanting to beat the person in front of you and all the competitive energy was amazing! Everyone cheering everyone on, seeing so many people come out and support the runners, and all of the amazing volunteers, that had to be there just as early as we did! WOW it was just so much fun!
When I got home and showed Nick the medal and told him how it all went he got excited and now he wants to do a race too! So family and friends we need to do another race!!!
I also just wanted to say... WOW the Marathon runners are incredible! Some of the people that ran the 26 miles didn't look like runners, but wow they did something that I couldn't do and that just made my eyes water seeing some of the people cross the finish line and just see how happy they were for that wonderful accomplishment that I'm sure they have been training so hard for! Seeing that made me really want to do a Marathon one day because if you know me I am a very competitive person and seeing people that I never thought could run 26 miles in 3 hours or so.. makes me want to do the same and see how fast I can run it in! Thanks again Family for running it with me! Love you all and great job. OH AND P.S... WE TOOK 6TH in the WOMEN'S DIVISION!
